POD CRIPNJOM
In the very center of Istria, in Sveti Petar u Sumi, there is a former Count’s property of the Austrian family the Georges coming down from the end of the 18th century. Since the 12th century that place has been a monastic meeting place: there was a Benedictine monastery once and from the 15th to 18th century the monks Pavlins were holding court there. Former owners were engaged in weaving and they acquired huge riches as well as the property itself. Since 1954 the owner of the property has been the Franjul family that has been engaged in agrotourism for a longer period of time.
The amiable hosts will offer domestic wine and brandy to you as well as specialties of the traditional domestic cuisine. We particularly need to emphasize preparing food under the pan – “pod cripnjom”. The property has been named after this way of food preparation. |

PALADNJAKI
The village of Paladnjaki is placed 5 km west of Zminj being surrounded by the hills, pastures and vineyards. In 1793 the Milicic family came to this region from the island of Hvar and at that time the life of the village started. In 1815 the big family house was built and the vineyards of Malvazija and Teran were shot up which resulted in the first diploma for wine growing awarded by the Vintner Association of Austria-Hungary Monarchy.
Nowadays the Milicic family is engaged in agro-tourism beside wine growing and with a great pleasure they will entertain the lovers of untouched nature, domestic food and, like at one time, excellent wine. |

OGRADE
The
rural household Ograde is placed by the small picturesque village named Lindar Katunski in the vicinity of Zminj. The village is mainly domiciled
by farmers who called themselves farm laborers as well, because of painstaking work on red soil full of layers of limestone.
In a traditional rest house furnished with rustic furniture you can enjoy in beautiful view to the rural property and pleasant Istrian landscape
surrounding it. Beside the house, accommodation is also offered in the modern furnished apartment in the attic of the family house of the Sajina
family – the owners of the property. |
